What my clients are saying
Leah
“Having Morgan at the birth was the most meaningful; she ensured I was hydrated and nourished, offered movement, touch, & encouragement all easing the transition for birth of my son. She was very communicative throughout the prenatal process. I believe we developed an understanding of one another to create the birthday of our dreams.
If you’re on the fence about working with Morgan, hire her! It’s wonderful to have the additional physical & emotion support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and after the birth of your child. She understands your wants & needs and stands as an advocate for you if and when you need her to.”
Krisana
“ Morgan really helped me see how powerful and badass birth is- and I am. During my time in labor, she and my partner said multiple times "Birth is so metal," while they breathed with me and held space for me. It not only made me laugh a little while my body was in pretty intense discomfort, but it also shined a light on her whole approach to the support she offers.
She is all about the power and bad-assery of the pregnancy and birth experience. The impact she had on my birth experience cannot be narrowed down to one particular thing other than the way she made me feel. She made me feel held, seen, heard, and supported. Her gentile approach to empowering the women she works with is incredible to be a part of.”
Cortni
“I felt supported and empowered throughout my pregnancy. Morgan’s knowledge and soothing nature was exactly what I needed during a fragile time in my journey- pregnancy! I valued her knowledge on herbs, natures medicine, of food and vitamins to help me feel my best and feed my growing baby.
This is the second time I have worked closely with Morgan while exploring my own growth and healing, and I plan to continue as I explore my femininity as a new Momma.”
Holly
“Morgan was an invaluable part of my prenatal, labor and postpartum journey. Working with her during pregnancy helped prepare me for the process and feel empowered about my decisions during labor. She not only supported me, but also my birth partner and allowed us both to be present. We couldn’t imagine the labor process without her support. During my postpartum care, she provided a tender nourishment of the soul and body which felt so impactful during the first 6 weeks of being home with a newborn.
Morgan truly has a gift as a healer and birth worker. She makes you feel held in tenderness, but also isn’t afraid to get into the deep work and tough conversations when needed.”
Ana
“After a hard postpartum following my first birth I was looking for someone to truly care for me in my early days after birth. I had followed Morgan for a while on instagram and had this call to reach out to her after I found out I was pregnant again. I had seen her posts about caring for her clients and I was wanting to feel held in that way.
I thoroughly enjoyed having Morgan as my doula. It was so important to have someone care for me before, during and after giving birth. She is supportive, intuitive and just a light to have in my life.”
Stasia
“Hiring Morgan was a huge reason that I had such a magical birth! Being that this was my first baby, Morgan helped me feel prepared going into it, during labor, delivery, and into my postpartum. I felt completely taken care of, and fully supported and cared for!
Morgan always had a gentle and supportive voice in my corner during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It was invaluable. Having someone to contact who was knowledgeable and kind was a game changer and made me much less stressed!”
The Research
From drafting a birth plan all the way to delivery, labor doulas provide emotional, physical, and energetic guidance through this profound transition of pregnancy into parenthood.
Evidence shows that working with a doula can significantly lower to likelihood of an intervention.
Overall, people who received continuous support were less likely to have any pain medication, epidurals, negative feelings about childbirth, vacuum or forceps-assisted births, and Cesareans. In addition, their labors were shorter by about 40 minutes and their babies were less likely to have low APGAR scores at birth.
There is a smaller amount of evidence that doula support in labor can lower postpartum depression in mothers. There is no evidence for negative consequences to continuous labor support.
Education & Experience
Certified Holistic Perinatal Consultant
As a Certified Holistic Perinatal Consultant, I bring a unique and comprehensive approach to supporting mothers and families during the perinatal period, encompassing pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum period.
Doula Training
My birth work journey began in 2016 when I received specialized training as a doula through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). This early experience laid the foundation for my deep commitment to providing exceptional care to expectant families.
In 2022, recognizing the critical need for a more holistic approach in supporting expectant parents, I pursued advanced training and certification in The Holistic Perinatal Wisdom School, a perinatal consultancy with a foundation in Ayurveda. This specialized training has equipped me with a deeper understanding of medicalized and holistic perinatal care, enabling me to provide personalized guidance and support that nurtures the overall well-being of both mother and baby.
In early 2023, I furthered my dedication by pursuing certification through the prestigious Doulas of North America (DONA). The DONA certification process broadened my understanding of perinatal care and enhanced my ability to provide comprehensive support to both mothers and their families.
Years of Experience
Over the years, I have had the privilege of attending and supporting numerous birthing experiences, ranging from home births and home birth transfers to birth center and hospital births. Each unique situation has enriched my understanding of the birthing process and the diverse needs of mothers and birthers.
By attending a variety of births, and serving families from varying backgrounds, I have developed an intuitive edge to to my doula support. I am deeply sensitive to the individualized needs and preferences of each of my clients, and I ensure a personalized and supportive birthing experience.
Through these experiences, I have witnessed the immense power and strength of birth. It has solidified my belief in the importance of compassionate, knowledgeable support during the birthing time.
